dagensdatum (today’s date) concerns the sensual experience of time, place, and the future. The project is meant to dissolve the hierarchical structures inherent in the making of art, the work of art as artifact, the exhibition of art, and the documentation surrounding works of art.
performing exploration brings together short presentations from exhibitions, unannounced performances, and interventions (ie: spontaneous works) in public space.
The Kaprowian merger of life and art is a major influence in these presentations.
artifacts functions in blog format and is in direct correlation with performing explorations, with the exception that the works are presented as marketable objects. The concept of the saleable art is to allow for the public to have a hand in the artistic exploration and perpetuity of the artifact.
art and research presents long term and ongoing projects, and is anchored by my dissertation Concrete Fashion: Dress, Art, and Engagement in Public Space (2010).
